Rippit vs. Zendesk for Conversation Analysis and Agents (2026): Differences, Pricing, and When to Use Both
Short answer: Zendesk is the helpdesk where support conversations happen. Rippit is built for one job: analyzing and acting on every customer conversation at scale.[1] It reads every conversation, turns what it finds into structured data,[2] and runs AI agents that monitor, analyze and act on that data.[1]
Rippit connects to Zendesk in one click,[3] brings your tickets, calls and business data into one place,[3][4] and lets anyone ask any question across all of it, with unlimited Q&A.[5]
The overlap is Zendesk QA,[6] a paid add-on[7] built on Klaus, which Zendesk acquired in 2024.[8] Rippit has a free plan.[5]
Rippit vs. Zendesk at a glance
| CRITERIA | Zendesk | Rippit |
|---|---|---|
| What is it? | Customer service platform: helpdesk, AI agents and Copilot, with QA and analytics[9] | AI conversation analytics and agents for every team[1] |
| Built for | Running support. Zendesk QA was added through the 2024 Klaus acquisition[8] and is sold as an add-on[7] | Conversation analysis, from the ground up. Rebuilt as an AI-first platform[10] |
| Starting point | Receiving, routing and resolving customer requests | The conversations you already have: tickets, calls and chats,[3] plus the survey data tied to them |
| Best fit | Teams that want helpdesk, AI agents and agent tooling in one suite | Large-scale analysis and agents across every conversation your company has, for CX and support leaders who need to know what customers are saying and want to build custom analyses on it |
| Works with Zendesk | Native | Connect Zendesk in one click.[3] Zendesk stays your helpdesk |
| Flexibility | AutoQA scores tickets on 8 system categories (Greeting, Empathy, Tone, Solution Offered and more), plus custom categories.[11] Up to 500 custom triage topics[12] | Ask any question in plain English. Rippit adds the answer as a field across every conversation, including past ones[13] |
| Ad hoc research and deep dives | AI Quick Reports answer plain-language questions on helpdesk data (Suite Professional and up).[9] Analyst Copilot in early access[14] | Unlimited Q&A on every plan.[5] Ask, follow up, filter to any segment and keep drilling on the same data[13] |
| Data in one place | Zendesk data, plus Zendesk QA connectors for some other helpdesks (e.g., Front,[15] Gorgias[16]) | Zendesk tickets alongside Gong calls, Salesforce and Snowflake data[3] and anything in your data warehouse[4] |
| QA scoring | Zendesk QA add-on[7] with AutoQA categories[11] | Any field Rippit adds, such as resolution, sentiment or root cause, feeds QA and coaching across every conversation |
| How teams use the data | Route and automate tickets, score agents, report on volume and agent performance | Describe the insight you want, and Rippit adds it as a field across every conversation (root cause, churn risk, resolution).[13] Reuse it in dashboards and follow-up questions, and deploy AI agents to act on findings |
| What gets scanned, analyzed and acted on | Intelligent triage tags each new ticket.[17] AutoQA evaluates new conversations once solved or closed. Historical data is not evaluated[18] | 100% of conversations in scope, with nothing sampled,[5][1] |
| How it handles large datasets | Stores every ticket as a helpdesk record. Explore reports on metrics and attributes across Zendesk products, with prebuilt dashboards and, depending on plan, custom reports[19] | Stores every conversation as structured, queryable data[2] that agents and people can enrich and aggregate across the full dataset |
| Traceability | Each ticket is its own helpdesk record. Explore drill in breaks a result down by extra attributes, such as ticket status (Suite Professional and up)[20] | Every result is a field on a specific conversation,[2] and each analysis step is documented, so any answer can be audited |
| Repeatability | Intelligent triage runs on each new ticket[17] and AutoQA on each solved one.[18] Explore reports can be shared on a recurring basis[19] | Turn any analysis or action into a repeatable Agent App that runs itself[1] |
| Customer satisfaction | Built-in CSAT surveys on solved tickets (plan-dependent)[21] | Uses survey scores where they exist and predicts CSAT for conversations that never got a survey[22] |
| Setup | Zendesk QA is bought from the Subscription page (self-service accounts) or through Zendesk Sales[7] | Self-serve. Connect Zendesk, Intercom, Gong and Granola in one click[3] and go live in minutes[1] |
| Works with Claude | MCP Server announced May 2026;[23] confirm current offering. MCP client in early access.[24] Community-built MCP servers exist[25] | Supports MCP, so Claude can query your conversation data directly[26] |
| Public pricing | Suite Team $55 and Suite Professional $115 per agent/mo (annual); Copilot add-on $50/agent/mo;[9] WEM bundle (QA + WFM) $50/agent/mo;[7] Zendesk QA standalone: confirm current offering | Free (includes $100 in AI credits); Starter $185/mo; Growth $495/mo; custom Enterprise[5] |
| Best starting question | "How fast are we resolving tickets, and how are agents scoring?" | "Why did cancellations spike last month, and what did those customers have in common?" |
What's the difference between Rippit and Zendesk?
Zendesk runs your support operation. Rippit is purpose-built to analyze every conversation that operation produces, and any other conversation data you have.
Zendesk is a customer service platform: ticketing, messaging, voice, AI agents and agent Copilot, with reporting built in.[9] It added AI quality assurance by acquiring Klaus in 2024, and that product is now Zendesk QA,[8] sold as an add-on.[7] It is the system of record where tickets are created, routed and solved.
Rippit is AI conversation analytics and agents, built for scale.[1] It was rebuilt AI-first.[10] It connects to Zendesk, reads every conversation in full,[1] and turns what it finds (intent, root cause, sentiment, churn signal, resolution) into fields you can filter, trend and build on.[13] Agents then monitor those fields, analyze them and act on what they find.[1] Because analysis is the whole product, you're not limited to preset categories or reports. You ask the question.
Take a customer who gets conflicting refund answers, is transferred twice and cancels. Zendesk records the ticket and the reopen. Rippit names the policy behind the confusion, counts how often it happens, and shows whether it's getting worse.
How flexible is Rippit compared with Zendesk QA?
Rippit lets you ask any question of your data. Zendesk QA scores conversations against categories.
AutoQA grades tickets on 8 system categories, such as Greeting, Empathy, Tone and Solution Offered, plus custom categories you add.[11] It evaluates tickets once they're solved or closed, and Zendesk states that historical data is not evaluated.[18] That's a strong fit for scoring agents on a fixed rubric.
In Rippit, you describe what you want to know in plain English, such as "customers who were promised a callback that never happened." Rippit adds it as a field across every conversation, including past ones, in a single run.[13] Fields combine, so you can cross that answer with root cause, product area, sentiment or churn risk, and keep going. QA is one thing you can do with those fields, not the limit of what you can ask.
Can you run ad hoc research and deep dives in Rippit?
Yes. Every Rippit plan includes unlimited Q&A, so anyone can ask questions across their conversation data as they come up.[5] Ask a question, get the answer from every conversation, then ask the follow-up on the same data: narrow to a segment, add a new field, compare this quarter with last.[13]
That's how teams run deep dives on the fly. When Checkr's CEO asked a late-night question about background check issues in a specific state, the team delivered a detailed report by the next morning.[22] Klaviyo analyzed a full month of product-launch conversations in two hours.[27]
Zendesk offers AI Quick Reports on Suite Professional and up, which answer plain-language questions about helpdesk data,[9] and has put Analyst Copilot and Agentic Analytics in early access.[14] Those work on what happened in the helpdesk. Rippit works on what customers said, across every source you connect.
How does Rippit analyze every conversation?
1,000 tickets or 1,000,000: Rippit reads every one, not a QA sample.[1]
Rippit runs an AI engine built to label conversations in bulk: AI enriches every conversation[1] and stores the results as structured, queryable data,[2] so analysis and agents can work across all of it. Reading every ticket doesn't have to be expensive. In Rippit's own coverage benchmark, it read all 1,000 transcripts in full for about six cents, the same full read that cost about $61 per question with a map-reduce approach.[32] Questions then run on those stored fields across the full dataset, instead of rereading transcripts each time, so asking the same question again returns the same answer.[32] For open-ended questions no existing field answers, Rippit also runs ad hoc deep dives[2] on up to 10,000 conversations at a time, and what they find can feed new analysis and agents.
That changes three things:
Zendesk QA also scores every interaction.[6] Klaus built its name on automating QA across 100% of support interactions, compared with the roughly 5% most manual QA programs reach.[8] The difference is what gets analyzed and when. AutoQA scores new, solved conversations against QA categories.[11][18] Rippit's fields can capture any question, not only QA criteria, across past and present conversations. Before Rippit, Klaviyo reviewed fewer than 2% of its 600,000+ annual support incidents. With Rippit, it opened up 2.5 million conversations that had never been analyzed.[27]
Can you use Rippit and Zendesk together?
Yes. Rippit connects to Zendesk in one click,[3] so Zendesk stays your helpdesk and Rippit becomes the analysis layer on top. Your agents' workflow doesn't change.
Zendesk is the most common helpdesk Rippit sees. In Rippit's review of 2,345 of its own sales conversations from 2025–2026, a third of prospects (784) mentioned Zendesk.[28] Of those, 40% (310) had used or evaluated Zendesk's own QA or AI tools; most of the rest used Zendesk as their helpdesk and wanted deeper analysis on top of it.[28]
Using both closes three gaps:
- Your data lives in more than one place. Rippit centralizes Zendesk tickets with Gong calls, Salesforce and Snowflake data[3] and anything in your warehouse,[4] so every question runs across the full picture. Checkr joined Rippit's conversation analysis with Snowflake operational data to find churn signals.[22]
- Most customers never answer a CSAT survey. At Checkr, surveys covered fewer than 10% of interactions. Rippit's predictive CSAT now covers all of them.[22]
- New questions shouldn't wait for new tags or reports. Rippit does the mass-scale enrichment: it analyzes every conversation in scope[1] and stores each judgment as a field on that conversation, including past ones.[13] For questions no existing field answers yet, it runs ad hoc deep dives on up to 10,000 conversations at a time.[2]
How is Rippit different from Zendesk analytics and intelligent triage?
Zendesk's analytics report on what happened in the helpdesk. Explore offers prebuilt dashboards on every plan and custom reports depending on plan.[19] Intelligent triage tags each new ticket by topic, sentiment and language so it routes correctly,[17] with up to 500 custom topics that classify incoming requests from the moment you turn them on.[12] Using triage in workflows requires the Copilot add-on.[17]
Rippit answers a different question: why. One AI pass classifies each conversation across 10+ dimensions, including intent, root cause, sentiment, urgency, churn signal and resolution. A new category applies to past conversations in one run,[13] so you can compare this quarter with last before anyone planned to track it.
Do Zendesk and Rippit have an MCP server?
Yes. Rippit supports MCP, so AI assistants like Claude can query your conversation data directly.[26] You ask in Claude, and Rippit runs the analysis across your full conversation dataset.[29]
This matters at scale. A general-purpose assistant can only hold a limited amount of text in its context window at one time,[30] so on its own it has to sample, split or summarize large sets of tickets. Rippit runs the analysis across every conversation and gives Claude the results, so every number traces back to specific conversations.
Zendesk announced its own MCP Server at Relate in May 2026 to connect Zendesk tickets and knowledge to external AI systems,[23] and its MCP client is in early access.[24] The two work at different layers: Zendesk's server exposes helpdesk records, while Rippit exposes analysis already run across every conversation.
How much do Rippit and Zendesk cost?
Rippit publishes its pricing. Every plan includes unlimited Q&A, and paid plans bill AI credits at cost.[5]
- Free: 100 Agent Runs/month, $100 in AI credits included[5]
- Starter: $185/month, 300 Agent Runs[5]
- Growth: $495/month, 1,000 Agent Runs[5]
- Enterprise: custom pricing, including SSO, advanced integrations and a dedicated AI Agent Specialist[5]
Zendesk prices per agent. Support Team starts at $19/agent/month and Suite Professional is $115/agent/month, billed annually.[9] Copilot is a $50/agent/month add-on,[9] and the Workforce Engagement bundle, which covers QA and workforce management, is $50/agent/month.[7] Add-ons are bought for all agents on the account.[7]
Zendesk cost grows with headcount, and Rippit cost grows with analysis. To compare fairly, price the QA or WEM add-on for your full agent count against the Rippit plan for your conversation volume.
What do teams use Rippit for?
- Checkr broke dissatisfaction down into specific "atomic problems." One billing cluster showed 47% predicted CSAT and a 58% unresolved rate, which the team took to its Chief Product Officer. Checkr says its time from insight to action went "from weeks to hours."[22]
- Brex replaced manual QA sampling with AI review of 100% of conversations and found churn risk in 3% of them. It uses custom AI classifiers for onboarding friction, product gaps and competitor mentions.[31]
- Klaviyo analyzed a full month of product-launch conversations in two hours, monitors chatbot performance, and reports a productivity gain of about 40% in under 12 months.[27]
When should you choose Zendesk, Rippit, or both?
You need a helpdesk, AI agents and agent tooling, or you want QA scorecards and coaching inside the same suite your agents work in.
You want a purpose-built, AI-native tool where anyone can ask any question across all your conversation data in one place, run deep dives on the fly, and go past preset categories and reports.
You run support on Zendesk and want every ticket, plus calls and account data, analyzed in one place, with answers to whatever you need to ask next.
